My Four Favorite Mysteries

One of my favorite detective novel series. It is cozy and charming, with some of the most memorable characters like Drew, his best friend Nick, and his love interest Madeline. The series begins with Drew taking on a mystery on his estate, but it develops with him becoming an amateur sleuth. He is intelligent, witty, and absolutely charming.

My favorite in the series is the sequel Death by the Book for its spectacular, unexpected villain. The perfect Moriarty to Farthering's Holmes.

I love the friend group in this series. Their chemistry is unmatched.

This one is a huge inspiration for me. Especially the character of Jackson Forge, aka the love of my life.

This book has great action, great characters, and a great mystery. I adore well-written inspirational fiction, and this one is at the top of my recommendation list.

This book ended up becoming my destiny. A coworker recommended her daughter's book to me just to read and enjoy, and I got to meet the author. Who then turned out to be a great friend and mentor to me, and eventually ended up becoming my publisher. Before any of that, I fully enjoyed her book. Incredibly detailed, doesn't go the way you'd expect, and unforgettable characters crafted perfectly. Be sure to check out the shop portion of the website if you'd like to try it for yourself.

If it wasn't for discovering Sherlock, I don't think I'd know to this day what I would want to write about. Although I've grown up on Nancy Drew, Scooby Doo, Castle, and Forever, my interest in mysteries wasn’t enough to make me believe I had it in me to write a mystery.

Finding Sherlock changed the game for me, giving me a renewed love for the genre. This is detective fiction at its peak, you just can't get any better than Sherlock Holmes.
